North West Provincial Government to celebrate Africa Public Service Day (APSD)

North West Provincial Government invites all members of the media to a celebration of Africa Public Service Day (APSD). APSD will be celebrated with theme “delivery of quality services for sustainable development.” The event will be held as follows:

Venue: Mmabatho Civic Centre
Time: 08h30 to 14h00

Emanating from the declaration of the first Pan African Conference of Ministers of Civil/Public Service, held in Tangiers, Morocco in 1994, the ministers agreed that the 23 June each year, should be celebrated as APSD to recognise the value and virtue of services to the community.

The “hub” for the Africa Public Service Day is in Gauteng province at the city of Tshwane and the provinces will join the satellite link up through DSTV channel. A large screen will be organised to be viewed by public servants and the general public.
