North West Legislature congratulates North West Class of 2022

North West Legislature Speaker Dantjie Congratulates North West Matric Class of 2022 for 79,8% Pass Rate

The Speaker of the North West Provincial Legislature, Hon. Basetsana Dantjie congratulates the North West Province’s matric class of 2022 on acquiring 79,8 percent pass rate which is an improvement of 1,6 percent from 2021 school year. “The legislature is proud and honoured by our learners who achieved a high percentage during the 2022 matric examinations and we would also like to thank the teachers and all responsible stakeholders who contributed on ensuring that the learners perform very well.
“The support system given by the Department of Education  has yielded positive results as seen with the improvement on the results and it shows that the department’s efforts are working. We would also like to thank the parents of the learners as the journey has not been easy as most of them come from disadvantaged communities but they showed resilience. Indeed “ ngwana sejo wa tlhakanelwa “ said Hon. Dantjie.

She also commended government and community leaders on playing a critical role of supporting then matric learners during final examinations and throughout the school year. “As the learners step into the higher education field, we urge all the stakeholders including financial institutions to support learners with bursaries so that they can enhance their studies at different institutions of higher learning throughout the country.  We wish the class of 2023 the best as they start this new year and hope that the department of Education under the stewardship of MEC Viola Motsumi, will continue to raise the flag higher and do everything possible to make the class of 2023 the best, said Hon. Dantjie.
