Premier TJ Mokgoro distances himself from an email and whatsapp message that is being circulated using his name to falsely solicit money from recipients of the message.
The fraudster alleges that he is at Premier Mokgoro’s instruction organising the end of the women’s month conference taking place on Friday 31 August 2018 at the Mmabatho Convention Centre.
The fraudster further alleges that Premier Mokgoro will be the keynote speaker and Ms Baleka Mbethe will also be in attendance.
The unsuspecting “donors” are provided with banking details in which to deposit the money and an email address belonging to “brine setswambung” to send proof of payment.
Premier Mokgoro is not addressing any end of the month women’s conference on Friday 31 August and this email is the work of a fraudster who seeks to unlawfully gain money from members of the public and must be disregarded.
