Minister Nkwinti already making a mark at National Government, says Premier Kiviet

Former Eastern Cape MEC for Agriculture, and now Rural Development and Land Reform Minister, Gugile Nkwinti received praise from President Jacob Zuma for initiating a Siyazondla like project in the Limpompo province. Premier Kiviet said President Zuma gave praise to Nkwinti at the National Cabinet Lekgotla meeting in Pretoria recently.

Minister Nkwinti was in the Eastern Cape to attend a farewell function organised by the provincial Department of Agriculture which he has led successfully in the past five years. Minister Nkwinti predecessor and former Premier Mbulelo Sogoni said his department would look for leadership and guidance in Minister Nkwinti.
Said Sogoni, Nqarwane, you have left us with a solid foundation and a department full of life. If we fail it would be because of our weaknesses. As you now lead the National Department for Rural Development Reform, we say congratulations and President Zuma would not have picked a more capable person than yourself.

Minister Nkwinti said a lot was achieved during his tenure as MEC for Agriculture and has no doubt that MEC Sogoni would do a great job in that portfolio.
