Minister Angie Motshekga's message to the Class of 2013

As we approach the 2013 National Senior Certificate exams I would like to wish the Class of 2013 all the best for these important exams.

These exams are the culmination of years of schooling and are crucial in ensuring that you, as matriculants, are able to establish a platform from which to launch yourself into your desired future.

Remember, your future is in your hands. Only you can make the choices that will determine your future.

Ensure that you have a copy of the 2013 NSC timetable and use this to plot your strategy for preparing for the exams.

Every day between now and 28 October presents you, the Class of 2013, with the opportunity to further revise and prepare for these exams, which will set the tone for your future endeavours.

Visit the Department of Basic Education’s website, www.education.gov.za, to access past papers and other study resources to assist in your preparations. Share your knowledge by starting a study group with fellow learners from your school or your area.

I wish you every success. I trust that you will begin to work hard and make every South African proud by achieving success

The department, your teachers, your parents and your communities are behind you all the way. Go out there and make us all proud.
