The Limpopo Department of Health and Social Development is saddened by the untimely death of one of its own executive management member, Mr AN Tshikovhi.
This sad news reached the department on the morning of Saturday, 18 September 2010. Mr Tshikovhi was appointed as chief director, responsible for corporate services that included financial management at that time.
When finance was separated from corporate services in 2000, he was then responsible for human resource and transport management. In 2007, when transport was shifted to supply chain, he remained general manager for human resource. During his untimely death, he was acting senior general manager: corporate services. He died after a long illness.
Like a true soldier, he died in line of duty. He remained committed and dedicated to his work until he lost the battle of life. The department has suffered a serious blow and is terribly shattered to have lost a true giant who knew and understood the department and its operations. His unsurpassed and sterling work will forever be missed.
