Today, 11 November 2013 the MEC for Education, Dikeledi Magadzi, paid unannounced visit to Dendron Secondary School in Blouberg municipality of Capricorn district.
The visit is part of MEC Magadzi’s mission of congratulating matriculants as they are writing their final year examinations. However, the good luck messages do not only end with the matriculants but the lower grades also benefit from Magadzi’s motivational talks.
Upon arrival at the school MEC Magadzi found all learners at the assembly point and the matriculants were just getting busy to start with the Chemistry examination paper. Addressing the matriculants shortly before they started writing she said “I just wanted to come and visit this school that excells in whatever subject they are doing.
I would like to assure you that nothing must seem impossible for you. You went through 11 years of preparing for this day and like your predecessors you will also do it,”. The MEC took turns in shaking hands with all the matriculants and wished them all the luck. She told the School principal, Mr S Matsapola that she was not expecting anything less than 100%.
