Limpopo Provincial Government signs a Memorandum of Understanding with Limpopo Provincial Government signs a Memorandum of Understanding with Namibia’s Northern Region

On the 1st March 2018, the delegation of the Limpopo Provincial Government lead by MEC Charles Sekoati has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the chairpersons of Oshana Regional Council, Ohangwena Regional Council, Omusati and Oshikoto. This came after the Premier pronouncement during the State of the Province Address on the 23rd February 2018, that the Limpopo Provincial Government will conclude a Memorandum of Understanding with four Namibian Regions of Ohangwena, Oshana, Oshikoto and Omusati.

This agreement is in line with government commitment to strengthen regional integration with SADC.The signing of the memorandum of understanding is the affirmation of the Limpopo Province and Namibia working together to develop and improve economies.

Both countries will share knowledge and expertise on the best practice on how to grow economy focusing on tourism sector, health improvement, agriculture, mining, education and skills development. Limpopo Province will share their experience in livestock disease management, especially foot and mouth disease.
