The Electoral Commission (IEC) has available full colour maps of South Africa’s eight metropolitan councils and 226 local municipal councils.
These maps show the designated voting districts within these municipalities with an accompanying list of the location of the registration/voting stations for each of these districts.
Voters are required to register in their own voting district and can only vote in the voting district where they are registered.
These maps are available electronically in PDF format (in either RGB or CMYK) for publication to assist your readers to locate their applicable voting district and station.
The size of the files differs according to the size of the municipal area (from 2mb to 25mb).
Those publications interested in receiving a copy of the map for their municipal area are kindly requested to email (aphanej@elections.org.za and Spokesperson@elections.org.za).
Requests should please contain:
- The name of the municipal area requested
- The format (RGB or CMYK) of the PDF file preferred
- Contact details for the recipient
