Limpopo police have launched a manhunt following the brutal shooting of two girls aged 08 and 10 respectively by their 39 year –old stepfather on Wednesday, 1 January at Ga - Chuene just outside Lebowakgomo.

It is alleged that the suspect took his three children from their grandmother’s house to his wife’s workplace. He left the three children outside as he wanted to talk to his wife. Seemingly he could not talk to her as she was busy and apparently went back outside and without uttering any words he fired two shots killing one of his children while the other one fled.

On arrival at his in laws he met the 8 year child and shot her twice at close range. The motive of the senseless the killing is unknown. He has since been on the run and a police manhunt is underway. The suspect is armed and considered extremely dangerous and anyone outside of law enforcement should not approach him.
