Learners discharged from hospital
18 of the 22 learners from Tenyane Secondary School, Ngwaritsi Circuit, Mamaone village in Sekhukhune District have been discharged from Jane Furse Hospital. This follows their admission at the hospital after they had complained of stomach aches and cramps. They have been cleared to return to school tomorrow. The Department, working with the Department of Health has today sent Health Inspectors to the school to investigate as to what might have caused this unfortunate incident.
The Department shall do everything in its power to ensure that informed interventions are put in place to guarantee the safety of learners at all times.
