No tariff increases for NPOs funded by social development KZN
The Department of Social Development wishes to announce that there will be no tariff increases for funded non profit organisations (NPOs) in the current financial year.
This is due to financial challenges that affect all of government as highlighted by the Minister of Finance in his Budget Policy Statement last year.
This has been communicated to the NPO sector through the NPO Forum at a meeting held on 11 November 2014 and a letter send to individual NPO's last month.
The department has in the meantime started a consultation process with the NPO sector on the possible revised system and terms for the 2015/16 financial years which will hopefully ease the current cash flow challenges.
The NPOs will be advised on the new payment system and terms before it is implemented.
