The Department of Trade and Industry (the dti) invites you to apply to participate in an Aerospace business delegation to Kansas from 3 to 7 March 2014. The objective of this mission is to foster relations with the Aerospace and related industries based in Kansas, the United States, with the ultimate aim of increasing trade and investment between South Africa and Kansas.
The visit to Kansas and subsequent meetings with the key individuals within these industries will provide the ideal platform for relevant South African companies to diversify their export markets for value-added products as well as for companies targeting investment opportunities in Kansas.
The Kansas economy is heavily influenced by the Aerospace industry. Several large aircraft corporations have manufacturing facilities in Wichita and Kansas City, including Spirit AeroSystems, Boeing, Cessna, Learjet and Hawker Beechcraft (formerly Raytheon).
This Mission will therefore provide numerous networking opportunities for South African companies in the aerospace and related industries.
Targeted sector/s for this Mission are:
- The aerospace (commercial, military and light aircrafts) and related industries, including aerospace components.
- Companies that are interested in participating and require financial assistance will be required to complete and submit the application form as well as the supporting documentation as listed in the Export Marketing and Investment Assistance (EMIA) application forms and guideline documents.
- Companies that apply will be screened and selected in line with the dti's EMIA Scheme and market requirements. Please ensure that you complete the correct EMIA application form and comply with ALL of the EMIA requirements for your application to be considered.
The deadline date for the submission of completed EMIA Outward Selling Missions application forms is 29 November 2013.
