MEC Limakatso Mahasa leads service delivery roadshow in Free State, 14 Jun to 13 Dec

DESTEA and its strategic partner’s fast track service delivery

The Department of Economic, Small Business Development, Tourism and Environmental Affairs under the leadership of MEC Limakatso Mahasa will embark on a roadshow throughout the province from 14th June 2018 until 13th December 2018.

The aim of the roadshow is to engage with municipal leaders on issues relating to economic development, tourism and environmental affairs and to market to the general public services and products provided by DESTEA and its entities (Free State Development Corporation and Free State Gambling Liquor and Tourism Authority).

Under the theme “Tsebo e Matla”, the topics that will be covered during the roadshow include DESTEA intervention plans, product and service offerings and the technical assistance.

The roadshow will not just be a talk show as strategic partners like NYDA, IEC, NEF, SEFA, DOL, Home Affairs and SARS will be present to provide relevant on-site services to the local SMME’s and general public.

The engagements are a continuation of MEC’s service delivery programme which started in 2017/18 financial year. This year, the department goes back with better understanding and responsive measures put in place based on last year’s experience.
