Minister Kodwa to meet with Russian Federation Sport Minister
Department of Sport, Arts and Culture Minister Mr Zizi Kodwa will on Tuesday, 24 October 2023, hold a bilateral meeting with the Russian Federation Minister of Sport, Dr Oleg Matytsin.
This meeting takes place on the margins of the Nineth Session of the Conference of Parties (COP9) to the International Convention Against Doping in Sport, which takes place in Paris on 25 and 26 October 2023.
South Africa and the Russian Federation share longstanding sport bilateral relations, with the two nations signing an Agreement on cooperation in the field of Sport and Recreation on 23 November 1998.
This meeting aims to further strengthen bilateral relations between the two nations, and will consider multilateral engagements in context of BRICS and the International Conference of Ministers and Senior Officials Responsible for Physical Education and Sport (MINEPS).
