The Commissioner of the BMA, Mr Michael Masiapato will be hosting his Zimbabwean counterpart for a bilateral visit in South Africa from 13 to 16 December 2023. The visit aims to showcase South Africa’s model of administration and border management coordination.
The Government of the Republic of Zimbabwe is in the process of developing the Border Ports Authority Bill to establish the Zimbabwe Border Ports Authority and to provide for its functions. The meeting will provide guidelines on the formulation of the Bill.
The visit will comprise of a formal meeting at the Sheraton Hotel on 13 December 2023 as well as a visit to the Lebombo Port of entry from 14 to 15 December 2023.
