The Minister of Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs (CoGTA) Thembi Nkadimeng will attend and participate at the Brussels Urban Summit 2023.
The Metropolis General Secretariat will convene its 14th World Congress and Brussels Urban Summit on the 12 – 15 June 2023 in Brussels, Belgium under the theme – “Urban Answers to Global Challenges”.
It is expected that metropolitan governments from 61 countries will converge in Brussels for the Metropolis World Congress. Amongst attendees will be political leaders and representatives of cities and metropolitan areas who will have the chance to connect and engage with each other.
For first time in six years and in the framework of the Brussels Urban Summit 2023, the entire Metropolis community will get together in Brussels to celebrate the 14th Metropolis World Congress and address the major challenges facing the world’s big cities and metropolises.
Minister Nkadimeng will also participate in a panel discussion framed around “Localising SDGs in African Cities” delving into Migration and Diversity presenting both challenges and opportunities.
