Two Gauteng Disability Centres to benefit from the department’s Mandela Day programme

The Department of Infrastructure Development has identified two disability centres that would benefit from its Nelson Mandela Day programme, whilst also identifying one educational institution. The two centres are the Ekurhuleni School of the Blind and Deaf in Vosloorus as well as the e-Deaf school of disability in Braamfontein, Johannesburg.

MEC Bheki Nkosi will be at the Ekurhuleni School of the Blind and Deaf in the morning. He will later move from Ekurhuleni to Solomon Mahlangu Freedom College (SOMAFCO) High School, in Mamelodi, where he is scheduled to arrive around 12h30.

At SOMAFCO, MEC Nkosi will be joined by amongst other stakeholders, the School Governing Body, Councillors, Education non-governmental organisation’s, and members of the community in the clean-up and re-painting of the SOMAFCO High School.

The department’s Mandela Day programme for MEC Nkosi is scheduled as follows:

Second leg of the programme in Mamelodi:

Time: 13h00: - 17h00
