Social Development Minister Edna Molewa will join Unite Against Hunger (UAH) (a brain child of Tiger Brands) in providing vital nourishment to over 10 000 disadvantaged people from homeless shelters, children homes, old age homes and similarly affected establishments.
The goal of the Winter Warmer Kitchens is to respond to the critical hunger needs during the coldest days of winter, bringing a short term solution to the hunger challenge. On the long term, the Winter Warmer Kitchens compliments the yearly activities undertaken by UAH where over 100 000 South Africans are supported monthly. UAH provides food to these various charities amongst other Heartbeat, African Children's Feeding Scheme and Rotary Charities South Africa.
