Seminar on “Ukuthwala” and its impact on women and children

The South African Human Rights Commission (SAHRC) in collaboration with the Commission for Gender Equality (CGE) and the Office of the Public Protector (OPP) in the Eastern Cape invites you to the above mentioned seminar.

The seminar aims to achieve the following objectives:
* To raise awareness on the practice of “Ukuthwala” and the various implications that it has on women and children;
* To provide a forum where institutions/organizations can discuss, reflect and share experiences on enhancing the implementation of sustainable and effective strategies to combat the practice.

The seminar is scheduled as follows:
