Roads and Public Works to celebrate Disability Awareness Day

The Department of Roads and Public Works in partnership with the Department of Education and the Department of Sports, Recreation, Arts and Culture will honour Disability Month by observing 67 minutes of uninterrupted service dedicated to people with disabilities on Monday, 23 November 2009.

The programme of the day will focus on the building of ramps at the Department of Education in Zwelitsha and the Department of Sport, Recreation, Arts and Culture in King William’s Town and each regional office of Department of Roads and Public Works will identify one building that needs a ramp to be erected.

The event will commence at 09h00 at the Department of Education in Zwelitsha and then proceed to the Department of Sport, Recreation, and Arts and Culture in King William’s Town at 10h30. Both events will be honoured by the presence of the national Deputy Minister of Public Works, Honourable Ms Hendrietta Bogopane-Zulu.
