Public Protector to commemorate Heritage Month in Northern Cape

Public Protector South Africa Chief Executive Officer Themba Mthethwa will on Thursday, 22 September 2011 address the communities of Batlharos and surrounding areas during an outreach event to commemorate national Heritage Month.

The event is themed “Ensuring Good Governance to protect our Heritage” and aims to raise public awareness about the role of the Public Protector in ensuring that South Africa’s heritage is protected.

Also as mandate by the Constitution to be accessible to all person’s and communities, the CEO will be accompanied by a team of investigators from the Northern Cape provincial office to take complaints from communities about any government’s service failure or conduct.
