The Infragroup and the Kwena Mafolo comminity have taken up the challenges of delivering yet another South African town to be developed post 1994.

Following extensive research, assessment and consultations, an environment for a healthy and sustainable town has been created at Moroke near Burgersfort under the Greater Tubatse municipality.

The provincial administration has played a facilitating and supportive role. The first phase to be developed will be extension one and two which will include a primary school and secondary school together with a shopping mall, a filling station, medical center and other small business sites. A lodge and hotel will also form part of the initial phase.

Water has been secured from a source adjacent to the town and Eskom has committed in writing to the supply of temporary and full electricity required.

A service level agreement has been signed with the Greater Tubatse municipality to take over the municipal services once installed and operational.

The change of land use process has been finalised. The Development Tribunal which is located in the Department of Local Government and Housing sat for a final hearing on 14 August 2009 and approval was granted with the approval letter issued during January 2010.

The final design for the connecting road accesses from the R37 into the town has been done and has been approved by South African National Roads Agency Limited (SANRAL).

An incalculable amount of value will be created through the establishment of Mafolo Park. During construction phase, the town will create numerous employment opportunities in excess of 7 000 houses to be build; 300 permanent business opportunities and 1 000 permanent employment opportunities once town is fully developed.

The total cost to acquire the land, township establishment as well as installation of services (bulk and internal) to the total town will cost R926 million.

The sales from all serviced stands (+- 6 000) will amount to R1 805 million. The investment in the areas is over R7 billion.
