Parliament hosts Deputy President Kgalema Motlanthe, Cape Town City, Bafana Bafana, FIFA Local Organising Committee (LOC) and South African Football Association (SAFA) representatives

Parliament is hosting Deputy President Kgalema Motlanthe; top representatives from Bafana-Bafana; host city, Cape Town; the FIFA Local Organising Committee and the South African Football Association on Thursday, 3 June.

Cape Town Mayor, Mr Dan Plato, LOC Chief Executive Officer Dr Danny Jordaan, SAFA President Mr Kirsten Nematandani, SAFA Chief Executive Officer, Advocate Leslie Sedibe and Bafana-Bafana Captain Mr Aaron Mokoena are among the representatives who have been invited.

A range of activities is planned for the visit, including a joint sitting of Parliament to debate the 2010 FIFA World Cup. The debate will focus on the report from a Joint Committee which visited host cities to assess their readiness.
