Hundreds of Gauteng nurses, including retired nurses, are expected to converge on the Birchwood Conference Centre in Ekurhuleni this weekend to look at ways of improving patient care, strengthening district health services, improving the image of nursing and ensuring that patients are treated with dignity.
The event, the first ever such gathering in Gauteng, would be addressed by Gauteng Premier, Nomvula Mokonyane and Health and Social Development MEC, Qedani Mahlangu.
The Imbizo follows on the Premier's commitment to improve healthcare in Gauteng following her visits to some healthcare centres after assuming office.
