Eastern Cape Premier, Ms Noxolo Kiviet and the Amalgamated Banks of South Africa (ABSA) representatives will on Friday, 16 July 2010, visit Ngangolwandle High School in Mqanduli to handover a newly established science and technology laboratory at the school.
The event will start at 10h00 and forms part of the Nelson Mandela week activities in the province.
This gift of a science and technology laboratory came about through the Eastern Cape leg of the ABSA Premiers' Invitation Golf Day held in October 2009.
ABSA, as the country's largest retail bank, is cognisant of the communities in which it operates and at each of the ABSA Premiers' Invitational Golf Day events held across all nine provinces it has donated R250 000 to a Corporate Social Investment programme or charity of the premier's choice. Premier Kiviet chose Ngangolwandle High School as the beneficiary.
