The Honourable Judge Ratha Mokgoatlheng will officially swear-in three new ICASA councillors. The new Councillors are, Ntombizodwa Ndhlovu, William Currie and Joseph Lebooa.
"I would like to thank the three outgoing councillors for their commitment to this organisation and for making sure that ICASA continues to fulfil its mandate as provided for in the Electronic Communications Act.
"Furthermore, I would like to welcome the new councillors and I believe they will bring a wealth of knowledge and skills to ICASA; to make sure that the industry is regulated in the public interest," said ICASA Chairperson Dr Stephen Mncube.
The council, executive management and staff of ICASA have pledged to provide the new councillors with all the necessary support they will need in executing their duties.
The new councillors will be officially sworn-in on Friday, 1 October 2010, at the ICASA block C presentation room at 08h45.
