The Department of Social Development, in partnership with the principality of Monaco, and Early Years Services, a non-governmental organisations (NGOs), will be opening the Mthandeni Enrichment Centre in Vredenburg.
Enrichment centres offer a holistic approach to foundation phase learning, thus ultimately giving young children a good start in life. An outreach service from the centre will address the needs of families and children in the community not attending the centre. Included is an integrated range of Early Childhood Development (ECD) services, determined by local needs and focusing on the most vulnerable children and families.
