The Minister of Arts and Culture, Ms Lulu Xingwana, invites members of the media to her budget vote speech for the 2010/11 financial year.
Informed by the priorities of government as articulated by President Zuma in his state of the nation address, the minister will outline the strategic focus of the department for the current financial year.
The budget vote happens on the eve of the historic 2010 FIFA Soccer World Cup which presents a unique opportunity to showcase our rich cultural heritage as manifested in our different art forms.
The minister will take the opportunity to announce the 2010 Arts and Culture programme.
