The Minister of Arts and Culture; Ms Lulu Xingwana will meet artists to discuss the Tribute to Women project initiative. The purpose of the meeting is to ensure that the arts sector is part of the initiative from the very beginning.
The artists will express their views on the initiative and interact with the minister who is expected to consider their views and wishes on the nature of the project which is expected to be held annually.
Some of the artists who have confirmed their attendance are Motshabi Theorie, Sibongile Khumalo, Debra Fraser, Conny Ferguson, Nomsa Manaka, Mary Makgatho, Mara Louw, Abigail Kubheka, Sophie Ndaba, KB and Tebogo Kgobokoe. Members of the media are invited to attend the meeting.
