The Minister of Water and Environmental Affairs, Ms Buyelwa Sonjica, will together with eight environment MECs sign the outcome 10 delivery agreement at the Emperors Palace on Thursday, 30 September 2010 at 12h00.
Cabinet Lekgotla has made a pledge to improve the general status of public service delivery in order to enhance the citizens' quality of life, uplift government's service delivery efficiency and restore the public's trust in government.
To get this process underway, all political principals and chief executive officers of parastatals have to sign performance agreements by the end of September 2010.
Amongst others, outcome 10 delivery agreement will cover the: reduction of greenhouse gas emissions, mitigation of climate change impacts and improvement of air or atmospheric quality, sustainable environment management, protection of biodiversity as well as cooperative governance on cross-cutting outputs.
