In the light of ongoing concerns with regard to the regulatory environment of South Africa’s mining sector, the Minister of Mineral Resources, Ms Susan Shabangu, will address a media briefing on Tuesday, 17 August 2010.
The Minister will provide the context within which the current regulations are applied and outline her plan of action for dealing with a number of areas of concern in this regard.
The media briefing will take place as follows:

DIRECTIONS: From Johannesburg, take the N1 to Pretoria. Take the Pretoria City turn-off from the N1 and follow Pretorius Street to Nelson Mandela Drive. Turn left into Nelson Mandela Drive. Take the first left into Schoeman and then the first right into Meintjies. Keep left and proceed down into the Trevenna Campus underground parking lot.
Alternatively, enter Pretoria via Nelson Mandela Drive, turn right into Schoeman and immediately right into Meintjies. Keep left and proceed down into the Trevenna Campus underground parking lot.
