The Minister of Science and Technology Naledi Pandor will address a conference in Pretoria tomorrow, Tuesday, 31 August organised to showcase science and technology initiatives that contribute to national priorities.

The minister will deliver the keynote address at 9:00, at the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) third biennial conference taking place at the CSIR International Convention Centre. Titled “Science real and relevant”, the two-day conference highlights research and development that is real, with the ultimate aim of having impact and relevant, pointing to the close correlation between our research objectives and the country’s national priorities.

A mix of projects is being presented, with some early breakthroughs, as well as projects where a positive outcome has been achieved, with good indications of a longer-term impact.
