Minister of International Relations and Cooperation, Her Excellency Maite Nkoana-Mashabane will address Accord Summit

The Minister of International Relations and Cooperation Mme Maite Nkoana-Mashabane will address the African Centre for the Constructive Resolution of Disputes to be held in Durban South Africa as from 29 to 30 April 2010.

The summit theme is Securing sustainable in Africa: Coordination, coherence and partnership and this occasion is held against the backdrop of the African Union’s declaration of this year as the “year of peace and security,” said Minister Maite Nkoana-Mashabane.

The accord takes place as the African continent is beginning to experience a relative peace in countries that were involved in conflict and they are in a process of reconstruction and development, for example Burundi, Sierra Leone, Sudan etc.

A tri-lateral agreement will be signed between South Africa, Cuba and Sierra Leone on technical cooperation for the funding of Cuban Medical Brigade.

The summit is attended by amongst other dignitaries, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Sierra Leone, HE Zainab Hawa Bangura and HE Jean Ping Chairperson of the Commission of the African Union.
