Following Cabinet's endorsement last week of the Department of Energy's Solar Park initiative that will be rolled out in Upington, Northern Cape; Minister Peters will brief the media on the planned solar park investor conference that will be held to test the investors' appetite on the project.
The project, which is estimated to cost about R150 billion, is also being designed to generate about 5 000MW of solar power.
The minister will be accompanied by the department's Director-General, Ms Nelisiwe Magubane, other senior officials from the department and the Clinton Climate initiative who are advisors in the project.
