Minister Dlamini Zuma to pay working visit to the Durban Home Affairs regional office

Minister of Home Affairs, Dr Nkosazana Dlamini Zuma will tomorrow, Monday 1 June pay a working visit to the Ethekwini Home Affairs Regional office in Durban. The visit to the Ethekwini regional offices is the first by Minister Dlamini Zuma since her appointment to the new portfolio.

The visit to the Ethekwini regional office comes with the context of a broader plan by Minister Dlamini Zuma to visit all provincial Home Affairs offices as part of ensuring high quality and professional service to the citizenry by government officials within the broad framework of advancing a better life for all.

During the visit, Minister Dlamini Zuma will interact with both Home Affairs officials as well as members of the public to witness first-hand the quality of service being rendered by the regional offices to the broader public. In this regard, Minister Dlamini Zuma hopes to urge all Home Affairs officials to commit to an excellent and professional service to all our people.

Minister Dlamini Zuma will also have an opportunity to inspect the facilities at the regional offices to examine whether such facilities meet the necessary standards for services delivery to the ordinary citizens.

Following her visit to Durban, Minister Dlamini Zuma will proceed to Cape Town, ahead of the scheduled State of the Nation Address by President Jacob Zuma scheduled for later in the week.
