The role of the Department of Defence and Military Veterans in developing the youth of South Africa, will be on display at Thaba Tshwane Military Sports Ground on 19 June 2009 when the department participate on National Youth Day celebrations to commemorate the June 16 Soweto uprisings.
During the South African National Defence Youth Day, Military Skills Development System recruits from all four arms of service will showcase their skills that will include drills aimed at bringing about military cohesion, leadership qualities, camaraderie and healthy compositeness.
