Release of 2016/2017 crime statistics
The Department of Police will be hosting a media briefing in Cape Town, Western Cape on Tuesday, 24th October 2017. The media briefing follows the presentation to the Portfolio Committee on Police (PCOP) on the 2016/2017 crime statistics. The briefing to Parliament will take place between 09:00 – 13:00. The media briefing will be held directly after the briefing to the PCOP.

A stakeholder breakfast will follow which will be held on Wednesday morning during which the Minister of Police, Mr Fikile Mbalula, the Deputy Minister and SAPS Management will engage with various stakeholders regarding the crime statistics.
