Minister of Sport and Recreation, Fikile Mbalula will host a joint media briefing with the Minister of Arts and Culture , Paul Mashatile to announce the state of readiness of the Nelson Mandela Sport and Culture Day which will take place at FNB Stadium on 17 August in aid of the Nelson Mandela Children's hospital project.
The briefing will give media a status update on the monitoring of the pitch, ticket sales and the annual Nelson Mandela Lecture.
The two Ministers will be joined by the Executive Mayor of Joburg, Parks Tau, a representative of stadium management, Jacques Grobbelaar and the Group Chief Executive Officer of the Passenger Rail Agency of South Africa (PRASA), Lucky Montana.
