Minister Sindisiwe Chikunga briefs media on crucial updates regarding aviation sector, 5 Mar

The Minister of Transport, Ms Sindisiwe Chikunga will hold a press conference to give crucial updates regarding the aviation sector. 

The announcements will be related to the Airports Company South Africa (ACSA) and the South African Civil Aviation Authority (SACAA) on matters related to permits issued by the Economic Regulating Committee. 

The Minister will share plans to digitise the licensing permit procedures for both international and domestic flights, and introduce the newly established Aviation Appeals Committee. 

These advancements mark a significant step towards simplifying bureaucratic procedures and enhancing efficiency and transparency in the aviation industry.

Minister Chikunga will be joined by the Chief Executives from the three aviation entities of the Department Ms Poppy Khoza (SACAA), Ms Mpumi Mpofu (ACSA) and Ms Nozipho Mdawe (Air Traffic Navigation Services) as well as stakeholders and senior executives during the briefing.
