The Minister of Basic Education will on Tuesday 15 October 2013 host a media briefing at the 10th bi annual Language and Development conference at Lagoon Beach, Cape Town.
The briefing will outline the role and importance of language in promoting social cohesion and expanding opportunities for the development of African languages as a significant part of preserving our heritage and cultures.
Martin Davidson Chief Executive of the British Council will also be in attendance to articulate on the role that the British Council plays in globally promoting the importance of language in Human Development and Education.
