Minister Lindiwe Sisulu briefs media on outcomes of SADC summit and upcoming international engagements, 27 Aug

Minister Sisulu to hold scheduled monthly media briefing 

Minister of International Relations and Cooperation, Lindiwe Sisulu, will on Monday, 27 August 2018 hold a monthly media lunch with members of the press as per her commitment during the 2018 Budget Vote Speech.

Minister Sisulu will among other things brief the press on the outcomes of the SADC Summit recently held in Namibia and also update media on the upcoming international engagements which include FOCAC, 3rd Indian Ocean Conference in Vietnam and Sub-Saharan High Level Ministerial Exchange in Singapore.

South Africa recently attended the 38th Ordinary Summit of the Heads of State and Government of SADC in which H.E President Cyril Ramaphosa handed over as the Chair of SADC to H.E Dr Hage Geingob President of the Republic of Namibia.

At the beginning of September 2018 South Africa will participate at the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) in Beijing. South Africa has been the African co-Chair of FOCAC since 2012.

Minister Sisulu is also expected to reflect on other developments in the international environment which affect South Africa.
