The Minister of Human Settlements, Lindiwe Sisulu, MP will on Thursday, 03 September 2015, host a national contractors and developers workshop to build partnerships with the private sector for the accelerated Human Settlements delivery.
This workshop is a follow-up engagement with developers and contractors after a 2014 Human Settlements Indaba which culminated into a Social Contract for the Sustainable Human Settlements. It is expected that during this workshop Minister will address some of the issues raised by developers and contractors prior and post 2014 Human Settlements Indaba.
Minister Sisulu is also expected to reveal mega projects as announced during the 2014 Budget Vote Speech. The mega projects will be located close to areas of economic activities. They will consist of more than 10 000 units which will cover Breaking New Ground houses, bond houses, rental accommodation and serviced sites.
