The Minister of Justice and Constitutional Development, Mr Jeff Radebe, will brief the media on the findings and recommendations made by the Ministerial Advisory Task Team on the adjudication of Sexual Offences (MATTSO) regarding the desirability to re-establish Sexual Offences Courts in the country.
MATTSO was established in June 2012 to investigate the viability of re-introducing Sexual Offences Courts. During the briefing, the Minister will also reflect on progress in the implementation of the new model proposed by the task team for sexual offences.
