Minister Ebrahim Patel briefs media on preparation plans for 2nd South African Investment Conference, 22 Oct

The 2nd South African Investment Conference 2019

Members of the media are invited to a briefing by the Minister of Trade & Industry, Mr Ebrahim Patel, and the President’s Economic Advisor, Ms Trudi Makhaya, on the preparation plans for 2nd South African Investment Conference to be held in Sandton, Johannesburg from 5 – 7 November.

The South Africa Investment Conference will be presided over by His Excellency, President Cyril Ramaphosa.

The first South Africa Investment Conference in 2018 attracted R300 billion in investment commitments. This was a significant feat that showed the resilience of the country’s economy, and the confidence by both Domestic and International investors.

The objective of the South Africa Investment Conference is to mobilise R1.2 trillion in new investments by 2023, and to promote the country as a preferred investment destination, open for business, investment and growth.
