Minister Dipuo Peters briefs media on festive season report and statistics, 30 Dec

The Minister of Transport, Honourable Dipuo Peters will, tomorrow, 30 December 2014, brief media on the Festive Season Report and Statistics covering the period up to and including 30th December 2014 in Durban the KwaZulu-Natal province.

The Minister will be joined during the briefing by Transport MECs, CEOs of Transport State Owned Companies and Executive and Senior Management officials from National, Provincial and Municipal government.

The 2014 Festive Season Road Safety campaign focuses on:

  • heightened and intensified road safety education and law enforcement activities throughout the country especially in hazardous locations;
  • road safety tips for road users and
  • public and private partnerships in road safety to reduce the carnage South African roads.

Venue: The Hilton Hotel, (Lotheni Room), (12-14 Walnut Road) Durban
Time: 11h30 for 12h00

NB: On Wednesday, 31st December 2014 (New Year’s Eve), Minister Peters will attend road safety church prayer services around the Durban area, the details of which will be communicated to members of the media during the press briefing.

Minister Peters will join Pastors and members of congregations to pray for safety on South Africa’s roads as 2014 comes to a close and the new year is set to begin.
