Minister Alan Winde to work from Bandwidth Barn, issues open call to province's tech entrepreneurs to pop in to meet him

Alan Winde, Minister of Finance, Economic Development and Tourism, will be meeting tech entrepreneurs to discuss their business ideas at the Bandwidth Barn this week.

Minister Winde will be working from the Bandwidth Barn on Wednesday and Thursday, 9 and 10 October 2013 and issued an open call to ICT entrepreneurs to visit the Barn to meet with him.

“I’m inviting all ICT entrepreneurs to come see me. I’d like to discuss their ideas and see how the Western Cape Government can assist. Small businesses are a key job creator and it’s important we give them the support they need to make a meaningful contribution to our economy.”

On Wednesday Minister Winde will host a media briefing on the future plans for the Western Cape’s ICT sector. Over R50 million will be allocated to developing the industry over the next three years.
