Gauteng service delivery intervention for: Bekkersdal, Thembelihle and Boiketlong
Gauteng MEC for Human Settlements and Co-operative Governance and Traditional Affairs, Jacob Mamabolo is convening a special press conference to announce service delivery interventions in Bekkersdal, Thembelihle and Boiketlong.
The three areas have recently been at the centre of major service delivery unrests sparked by concerns over access to basic services such as water, electricity and sanitation as well as bulk infrastructure.
MEC Mamabolo will be joined by a senior delegation from the affected municipalities led by Executive Mayors of Westonaria (Councillor Nonkoliso Tundzi) and Emfuleni (Councillor Greta Hlongwane). Also present, will be the senior leadership from the electricity utilities, Eskom and City Power as well as the Department of Energy.
