Gauteng Premier Nomvula Mokonyane to brief media on the province's skills development plans and efforts to decrease gender based violence

Gauteng Premier Nomvula Mokonyane will brief the media about the province's efforts in addressing gender based violence and skills development in the province.

The briefing will follow the Executive Council's monthly meeting, which will be hosting non-governmental organisation (NGO) Gender Links and Higher Education Minister Blade Nzimande.

This is part of Premier's commitment to working with the National Department of Higher Education in a bid to create a conducive environment for young people to gain valuable workplace experience, placement in sustainable jobs and the promotion of youth entrepreneurship.

With the eradication of violence against women and children being the central pillar of the social crime prevention efforts in the province, the Premier will also unveil the province's plans to address this scourge.
