Deputy Minister of Tourism to update media on the Journey to Service Excellence (J2SE) pilot project

Deputy Minister of Tourism Tokozile Xasa will host a media event to provide feedback on the Journey to Excellence (J2SE) Pilot Project. The event will take place on the 4 September at the Upington Rugby Field, Upington.

The J2SE Media Event is the final phase of the J2SE Pilot Project for which was approved in 2013. To-date, skills workshops, roundtable discussions, leadership workshop and bilateral were held with key stakeholders to share information and evaluate progress in relation to set objectives.

The importance of sustaining J2SE Programme, which was launched by the Northern Cape province in an attempt to ensure the renewal of their commitment to service excellence in the tourism industry, was identified as a critical need.

In order to ensure continuity and sustainability of the programme, the Upington Implementation Forum was established and the strategy also developed in other to guide its operations. This venture has been exciting and informative to all those who participated and shared their valuable experiences.
